MDM UOM Manager CRC error

Hi,

I installed the latest patch for MDM 5.5 SP05 and I receive the following error when I try to connect to my repository through UOM Manager:

Error: File failed at crc check

What that could be?

All the other clients are ok.

Note, that the file <b>MDM_UOMManagerInstall.EXE</b> file contains no version number at the end of it like all the other files.

So, it seems that the problem is in the distibutive...

Have you installed that file? Even though it doesn't have the extension, it should be the correct file. I have this same thing and it is working fine. After loading check the version. It should be 5.5.41.58.

5.5.41.70 is the hotfix build which just means there were no changes to the UOM Manager from Patch1 to Patch1 Hotfix1.

Yes, I've installed that particular file. The version shows 5.5.40.83

Maybe you can try downloading the file from the Patch1 files instead of the Patch1 Hotfix1 files. The install located with Patch1 should also be 5.5.41.58 and work with your MDM version (5.5.41.70).

The modified date on the correct file should be 5/6/2007.

Well, here are the versions:

MDM Data manager is 5.5.41.70

MDM Console is 5.5.41.70

and...

MDM UOM Manager is for some reason is 5.5.40.83

Different.

But all the clients are distributed in one single package. So, there is a wrong distributive on the marketplace.

So, could you please suggest what to do? Maybe it is necessary to report the issue to SAP or what.

Maybe try getting the latest hotfix MDM 5.5 SP05 Patch1 Hotfix1. I have the UOM Manager from this package and it is version 5.5.41.58. The most important thing is the first three numbers, 5.5.41, the last one only relates to hotfix issues and as long as the first three are the same they should be compatible. Let me know if you have trouble getting the latest version, 5.5.41.58.

Hi,

there's a mismatch in the versions. 5.5.40.83 is MDM 5.5 SP5 Patch 0 whereas 5.5.41.70 belongs to Patch 1. That's why you're receiving the CRC error. I checked the ZIP file for Patch 1. After installation, UOM should have at least version 5.5.41.58 (which is compatible with .70). I'd suggest that you reinstall UOM and check that you take the correct installation file.

Usually that error is received when there is a problem with versioning. Please double check to make sure that your UOM Manager is the same verision as you MDM Server/Console.
