what is the basic logical difference between XD01 and VD01

hi all,

In both the t code we can create customer,

in XD01 we create it at company code level but in VD01 we create at sales area level, my question is to know what is the logical difference between the two, and when is used and why???

Hi

Very basic difference b/n XD01 and VD01 is XD01 is used to create customer Centrally

VD01 is Used to create custome at Sales Area level.

Normally SD COnsultant will be using VD01

and FI/CO Consultant will be Using XD01 to input data related to Company Code

XD01 is Create customer Central level i.e Accounts, MM, SD, VD01 is only SD levelr

Vd01- create customer(sales view) - here u wil not get the 'company code data' tab

' so normally sd guys use this

xd01- create customer( central view)- u wil get 'company code data', so normally Fi guys use this

thr is no logical differnce. Just about the access to company code data.

Dear Basu,

According to me there is no logical difference between in that.In xd01 we r mail the company code and this for the creating customer

centrally.when u r creating in t.code vd01 there the customer r not

maintaining centrally and vd01 only for sales.
