Hello ,
Please access the url of portal :
http://<host>:<port>/sap/monitoring/SystemInfo
This will give you Version details : J2EE, Portal, and KM
For eg in XI :
Vendor Name Version
sap.com SAP-XICONS 3.0 SP17
Means you are running on XI 3.0 SP17 .
