How do you pass a value from a custom alert to the alert monitor?

Hi,

We are in SCM 50. I'm writing a specification for a macro to generate custom alerts (DB alert). I'd like to customize the layout of the alert monitor. By using BADI /SAPAPO/AM_ALERTLIST we can add fields and we plan on adding characteristics (demand planner for example). I'm wondering if I can pass a value from the macro to the alert monitor. For example we have a bias (forecast/booking) that we calculate in the macro and that we'd like to show to the users in the alert monitor. By doing this we could avoid putting too many rules in the macro and let the users setting their own filter.

Thanks,

Fred

Hi Fred,

Assign the value which u need to display in the alert monitor in a auxiliary cell. Then pass this auxiliary cell with the alert in the macro (At the max u can pass only two values). Then in the alert BADI /SAPAPO/AM_ALERTLIST u can find field catalog with two fields called VALUE_1 and VALUE_2. Read both the fields and change the text accordingly. Read the alert structure to get the corresponding value.

Regards,

Siva.
