wht is the differance b/w swmb_moni and runtime workbench?

Hi, I want to know wht r the features in sxmb_moni and runtime work bench...wht r the differance between these two...? Thanq...

sxmb_moni

1.runtime workbench providing processed XML messages in Integration engine.

sometime you wont be able to detect erros, for example in case of file - xi - file scenario, if the receiver channel ftp is setup wrongly you wont be able to see the errors here, for this RWB is best.

RWB.

1. you can monitor all communication channels (except IDoc)

2. you can monitor the message flow

3. you can even monitor the audit logs

The tcode SXMB_MONI is based on the ABAP stack gives you access to various monitoring functions like the XML message monitor, search for archived messages, job overviews etc.

The runtime workbench is a web-based collection of tools such as the component monitor (which allows you to monitor connectiviy of components like the Integration server, adapter engine etc, and also communication channels), message monitor (for both integration engine and adapter engine), end-to-end monitoring, performance monitoring. It also contains the alert inbox for viewing alerts, and the alert configuration tool for setting up alerts.

sxmb_moni gives you the errors on the ABAP stack and RWB on the J2EE stack.

Hi,

As you know XI has ABAP stack and Java stack.

So, sxmb_moni is the way to monitor messages from ABAP stack and RWB is the from Java stack.

The functionalities are more or less same with some additional functionalities in RWB,like component monitoring,message monitoring,Communication channel monitoring...etc.

please search SDN for this,you will find tons of info.

just for a quick start,sxmb_moni gives you errors in IE whereas RWB gives errors in AE
