TDDAT and V_DDAT

Hi,

If iam not wrong, V_BRG is the table where we can define an Auth.Groups for tables.

Also V_DDAT is the table to assign the concerned tables to necessary Auth. groups. What is the use of TDDAT table then?

Thanks. DVRK

Hello Rama,

You can define the Auth.Groups for V_BRG table in TBRGT table like Auth.Object is S_TABU_DIS and Auth Group is SS (RS:SAP Control).

We can see the list of tables name and Auth groups in V_DDAT table.

Thanks

Purna

Hi,

V_DDAT is only a database view. The underlying database table is TDDAT.

It's TDDAT where the data is resided regarding table maintenance class.

Cheers !!

Satya.

Question for Purna and Satya,

Table V_BRG and V_DDAT are not opening up in SE16 or SM30. How else can we view them?

Purna, you mentioned that table TBRGT is used to associate auth objects to their auth groups,

but only tables and programs are associated with auth groups, right (and not auth objects?).

This is a little confusing. Could you please clarify.

Hi Sridhar,

I don't know why you cannot open views V_BRG and V_DDAT in SE16 or SM30. It should be possible unless you are missing authorization.

Try via SE11 and underlying tables instead.

Cheers !!

Satya.
