Hi guy,
Can somebody give me the clearly answer and example of these questions
What is Master Data? What is difference between Master Data and Meta Data?
Thanks,
Parinya.
Hi Parinya,
Meta Data is data about data.
e.g. A database contains fields such as Name, Address, City, and so on. Metadata names these fields, describes the size of the fields, and may put restrictions on what can go in the field (for example, numbers only).
For more details check :
http://www.linktionary.com/m/metadata.html
Master data includes data about clients and customers, employees, inventory, suppliers, analytics and more.
Master data is typically shared by multiple users and groups across an organization.
we never change it. we add new records to master data.
Hope its clear.
Thanks,
Maheshwari.
