Hi All,
Generally in file to idoc scenario i am creating the file structure (Data Type). But if some body provides the file structure in a xsd format or wsdl format, then how should i import that file and how should i use it in message type. Can anybody suggest me on this and if u have any sample file (xsd or wsdl)kindly send it to me. Can any body send me screen shot of this how to import the file and how to use it in message type.
Prese correct me if iam wrong.
Shall i need to create External definition and need to import the file in it.
Kindly provide some solutions.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Prem.S
Prem,
If u import any XSD or WSDL, no need to create Data types and message types.
The imported file acts as a message type.

Hi Prem,
IF you are having an XSD or WSDL then follow these steps:
1. Create a External Defination
2. No need to craete any Data type or message type as we can use XSD directly in message mapping.
3. Use the XSD while creating Message Interface.

Hi
If u have XSD or WSDL File externally then u can use External definition in xi and import into XI.
After Importing Directly create Message Interface because after Importing u click on message Tab below it shows Message Types.
If u can't find any message type u have to create Data types and message types according to Imporing file structure.
thanks

in case you have a XSD or WSDL, import them into your external defnitions and use them where ever applicable.
