Shopping Cart Header Status terminal status?

Hi experts!

In the classic scenario the SC Header status ends up in I1129 (Approved). We'd like to change that to "ordered" (when POs are created) and/or "closed" (when GRs are posted). Do you know any easy way for that?

I think setting a status in an exit or Badi isn't that challange, but first we'd have to modify the system status for SC Header (SCH) and second change lot of standard code, because SAP is searching hardcoded for I1129 lot of times. Any better ideas?
