The dbmcli call for action DB_WARM failed when deinstalling

Hello,

During deinstallation with the rapid installer I'm getting the following error:

"The dbmcli call for action DB_WARM failed. Check the logfile XCMDOUT.LOG."

When I check this logfile there is the following error:

Subprocess starts at 20070208091809

Execute Command : c:\program files\sdb\programs\pgm\dbmcli.exe -n EHVLD001 -d DB1 -u CONTROL,******** db_online

Execute Session Command : exit

> Subprocess stops at 20070208091825

> Subprocess call failed

ERR

-24988,ERR_SQL: Sql error

-902,I/O error

3,Database state: OFFLINE

6,Internal errorcode, Errorcode 9050 "disk_not_accessible"

20014,RestartFilesystem failed with 'I/O error'

There is nothing wrong with the disk; I see in the C:\sapdb\DB1\sapdata two files (DISKD0001 and DISKD0002) both with the size of 2 Gb.

As I'm not a database expert at all, can somebody give a hint how to solve this?

Thanks,

Boris

Hi Boris,

can you please check which exact volume cannot be accessed? You should find this information in the knldiag file, which very problably resides in the C:\sapdb\data\wrk\DB1. (I'm guessing that that's your MaxDB Rundirectory.)

Please search the knldiag file for that error and copy and paste it into this thread.

---

Oh and almost forgot:

- which exact MaxDB version (incl. Build) are you using

- and on which exact platform/OS (Windows32, IA64, AMD64?)

Regards,

Roland

Hi Boris,

How did you resolve the problem?

Today, when I tried to install NetWeaver CE, I also encountered similar problem.

Any advice or hint will be welcome!

Thanks.

Hello Taru,

to allow us to help you, you'll need to provide more information. For a start you should provide the part from the installation log file. Next you should provide the same information as Roland requested before.

Best regards,

Melanie
