SMLT - Import language - Error Message: Language is locked

Former Member

Hello,

My system crashed running import language (transaction SMLT)

Now I can see the job is finish but I still have the truck (legend: the

action is currently running)

When I try to "Restart" I get the following error message:

Message no. STRALAN_MSAG027 - "Language is locked, you cannot perform

this action"

The SAP recommends the following procedure:

"In rare cases (for example, if the system or a program crashes), a lock

may remain, even though no action is active.

If this is the case, you must remove the lock manually. To do this, use

Transaction SM12 and search for locks on the table T002C. Make sure that

no action is active before you remove the lock. To view the language

transport actions, go to the Transaction SM37 and search for jobs that

start with the prefix SAP-LANGUAGE"

I checked the job is not active under SM37. However I cannot find the

lock for table T002C under SM12.

Does anybody know other way to unlock the language in order to restart

the import process?

Thanks in advance

Regards

Hello Benson ,

Please check Note 60728 - Scheduling language import: Lock flag is set

Note is for Release 30A , check if it works for your issue .

hello Benson,

This is surprising. I dont know how you used abortimp. Go to SMLT. Now simply type abortimp in the command filed (the field where you enter t codes).Dont use /n or /o. Simply abortimp.

However if this doesnot solve it then try the following:

First of all ensure that no transport import of any kind is running in the system. Then check entries in import monitor in STMS and check if you find any entires there. If they are any delete them. At the same time kill any TP process running at OS level and delete old TP log files. This would ensure that no import including langiage import is active. Also check in TPSTAT table if there are any entires without timestamp and delete them.

Once this is done try abortimp in SMLT again and then try importing language once again.

Hello guys

I'm in ECC 6.0 and I have same problem

During import language, system started run a backup , and... import language cancelled.

When I tried to restart import language with SMLT transaction, I get the error message regarding to Lock.

I have tried "abortimp" and certanly now is not already locked but the icon (truck) changed , now is a " X" , and if I try to restart I get following error message:

"

message number:STRALAN_MSAG032

The action was cancelled and cannot be restarted

"

Any idea?

thanks and regards
