hi,
is there any way to manage the fixed recurring planned down time in APO???
we can manage it in APO-Resource, other than this, how can we manage it.
secondly, is there any way to maintain source of supply every month???
source of supply, means replenish from one plant to another plant. so receiving plant can change source of supply every month? is it possible in APO or ECC!!
Thanks,
Regards,
Jignesh.
On the first question, I would recommend using Date effectivity features through Resource definitions. these definitions can be used to create active resource variant.
Do you have Purchase Info Records in ECC/R-3 for the source of supply? The Inforecords do carry date stamps in them. The other is to use date-effective T lanes/Quota arrangements. This will be in APO.

Hey Jignesh,
as an answer to the first part of your question:
you can model it either by
- defining capacity variants (tab. general data)
- using copy and paste downtimes (ugly)
- creating maintenance plans (which is I assume exactly what you are looking for)
But watch out.... orders react differently to different types of downtimes.
If an order reaches a planned downtime created by option 2 or 3 it's automatically rescheduled at the end of the downtime, whereas with capacity variants the order keeps going on!
Hope this helps a bit... Bobby
