Sales Unit in Sales orders

Hi Friends,

I have an issue where in a materials is maintained in GAL as Base UoM and CAS, PAL as Alt UoM in the material master.

When the users create a sales order, SAP is letting them choose L liters as Sales Unit even though it is not maintained in the material masters.

Users want to restrict SAP to choose UoM's that are maintained in the material master.

How do we acheive this?

I checked Sales unit not variable check box in the material master. By checking it - SAP will allow you to create sales orders in only the sales unit mentioned in the material master, but we want to create orders in Alt UoM's too.

Any suggestions?

Hi Pavan,

The base unit of measure u have maintained in the Material Master for a Material will be given first preference in a sales order.In the Material Master if you have maintained any alternative unit of measurement and if u have given the conversion factor also in the 'ADDITIONAL DATA' tab then u will be able to choose either of the uom.

But it will not trigger any units that u have mot maintained in your Material Master.

Please do check it and revert back.
