Hi,

I have a very basic confusion in XI , I am working in XI3.0. and preparing for certification in XI . I have read in TBIT40 that XI supports the mappings are

1) msg mapping

2)java mapping

3)xslt mapping

abap mapping not mentioned

But we can do abap mapping also in xi

so what will be the correct ans

so Xi supports four mappings but the default mapping in xi is message mapping . right?

yes !!

All others have to be done externally and imported/referred in the interface mapping.

Hi Somenath,

XI supports only 3 kinds of mapping Java,XSLT and ABAP.

Msg mapping / graphic mapping internally is java mapping only

But in TBIT material abap mapping is not mentioned

TBIT40 -> Integration_Repository.pdf -> page 29 topic Mapping techniques in XI.

it does talk about the four mappings i mentioned earlier.

@ Amit K Singh -> please don't mislead. Graphical mapping is also a mapping technique in XI even though its underlying basics is Java.

IXI Supports ABAP Mapping also.

In TBIT40 ABAP Mapping also there.

yes ABAp mapping is supported in XI.

Only Java Mapping & XSLT Mapping. There is nothing like msg mapping.
