Hi Ameet,

SAP XI is the EAI tool which does the all types of conversion except EDI..

There are plenty of EDI and EAI tools available in market..like GXS,Gentran,Seeburger..

But Seeburger has given the solution to SAP XI interms of 3rd party EDI adapter which does the EDI conversions...

So if you want to implement EDI in XI then you need to configure Seeburger EDI adapter in XI after installing it. There is a mapping functionality available in the Seeburger EDI adapter apart from the XI mapping functionality.

Seeburger EDI adapter has its own adapters for connecting 3rd party applications...

hi,

if u want to use EDI files in xi...

you need EDI application adapter like SEEBURGER or Conversion Agent by Itemfield, with Conversion agent you convert the EDI structure to XSD and import that into XI as external definitions and do the mapping in the general scenario.
