Hello,
We have installed SRM 5.0, which also consists of SUS. General understanding is that XI is a must for SUS. I am unable to understand 1) why XI is required when SUS and EBP are in the same box 2) Within the same box, is it necessary to have a separate client for SUS?
Datta
Hi Datta,
the process communication with SUS is done via XI. That is needs for all scenarios.
It does not depend if SUS and SRM are on the same client. Technically you can
have SUS and SRM in the same client. SAP recommends to have separate
clients for QA and PRD, esp. SUS is accessed from the outside world and only
with separate clients an architectural separation using firewalls etc. is possible;
but like I said technically it is not needed.
Cheers,
Claudia
