IDoc Error JCO_ERROR_EXTENSION: JCO.Server could not find server function

Hi,

I have configured our ECC6 to send IDocs to xMII. But I am getting an error at xMII as "XCEPTION - com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (120) JCO_ERROR_EXTENSION: JCO.Server could not find server function 'å??ä??å??å??ä??å½?ä¹?' "

This error message is getting generated as many IDocs as the SAP system is sending. Does any one know how fix this.

Thanks,

Srinivasa.

Under server properties of the listener make sure to set the unicode property to 1.

If you are still having issue please also refer to <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/3861e693-0e01-0010-e791-9b44d2693e6c">Idoc Config Guide.</a>

Jamie,

I followed the same guide and able to config our ECC5 system to send LOIPRO IDocs to xMII system. I am getting this error only when I try to send IDocs from our ECC6 system. One more thing I did set that unicode property to 1.

I found this setting from one of your reply to some other thread. But still I am getting this error.

Thanks,

Srinivas.

Where are you seeing the error? What transaction in ECC are you running to produce the idocs? What version of xMII are you running? In the idoc listener do you have a transaction selected? If so, is it running the transaction or is there anything in the output directory?

Jamie,

Where are you seeing the error?

I am seeing this error in General Log in xMII.

What transaction in ECC are you running to produce the idocs?

SAP Version ECC6

Transaction POIT

What version of xMII are you running?

xMII 11.5

In the idoc listener do you have a transaction selected?

I am sorry, I am not sure what is ment by "transaction selected"

To keep is simple for the start, I configured routing rules to "*" and directory to c:\Lighthammer\JCO\Output.

is there anything in the output directory?

There is nothing in this directory even after executing transaction POIT in SAP.

I even checked for errors in SM58 and found no errors.

Let me know if I need to provide more info.

Thanks,

Srinivas.

Please check your RFC destination and verify that under the "MDMP & Unicode" tab you have "unicode" selected.

Jamie,

Thank you very much. After selecting Unicode under this "MDMP & Unicode" it is working.
