Certification questions regarding PP -vs- CSM

Former Member

Hello all,

I've been thinking about, and researching, switching to a SAP-based career. At this stage I am leaning towards PP and/or SCM consulting. Having said that, I still don't fully have my head around all the base SAP technologies/products.

I was hoping someone here could please clarify a few things for me?

Would it be correct to say that PP has been/is being replaced by SCM?

There seems to be quite a few PP jobs still, so should I first get PP certification (if still available) and later upgrade to SCM?

Will certification, in either of these, be enough by itself or would employers expect certification in other modules as well?

I obviously have no SAP experience, so will be relying on certification and my previous IT experience (.net developer) to gain employment.

Many thanks in advance, and I look forward to one day answering questions instead of asking them!

Jack

Dear Jack,

1. SCM is new diamentional module of PP & its main part is APO ( Advance Planner & Optimizer )

2. To do the Certification of SCM u need to go throgh PP 1st.

3. Certification is enough of only one module , employers ll train in other module if they want....

If helpful Reward points.
