HI,
Is it not giving any error messages?Installation hangs up without any error messages if there is a space issue.
Check whether there is sufficient space in the installation drive,in Data files and Log files directory.
Also lok for the error meesages in C:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir directory.
There u will find sapinst.log which may give you an hint of possible exceptions.
Also if you are doing a system copy ,this error will occur,if you have taken export CD which had NWDI configurations. You may have to take different CDs.
reward points if helpful..........

Make sure your SAPINST is not hanging or any file system out of space because of java dump or core files?
Whats your OS and DB?
Is it still an issue?

Vijay

Check import logs (sapinst.log and referenced logs) progress bar is not reliable.
