limiting no. of line items in sales order

hi all SD gurus,

I have this requirement to have maximum 5 line items in the sales order. How can i achieve this?

Hi

You only can be able to do it through the userexit

USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE

By functional configuration, for 5line items, it is not possible, though it is possible for just 1quantity per line item.

Hi Prashant,

You can use userexit SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE in sales order program MV45AFZZ.In this userexit you can write this requirement with the help of abaper.

What about using an user exit in program MV45AFZZ and check the number of inserted lines?

I Don't know any customizing setting in order to achieve your objective.
