Hi,

I have applied the licensekey on SAP NetWeaver04S. While applying it used to show validity till 08 aug 207 and even after restarting the server , through visual admin it shows the same validity for that license. But the problem here is that while starting the server it gives a message "The installed license is NOT valid. The system will shutdown in 30 minutes" in log and it stops after 30 min.

will any body know what is happening here?

Hi,

Maybe you have not applied the correct license

To generate the license key you need to follow this procedure.

Find out the hardware key of your instance.

For this go to the visual admin----

---

> licensing adapter

Visual admin has to be accessed from this path \usr\sap\X74\JC01\j2ee\admin and run go.bat

You should also have a S-user ID to generate the license.

Go to service.sap.com/licensekey

Give the required credentials.

Then supply the required details like SID, hostname, Database etc..

You will get a file.

Then again go to Visual admin----

---

> licensing adapter

upload the license file, and the licensse will be applied.

To open Visual admin your instance has to be up and running, so ensure that....

Did you request license for the correct system specifying your SID? Did you request a temporary license or permenant?
