Hi,
We are implementing ESS-MSS 1.0 (SP8) on EP 7 SP 11 and ECC 6.0. Mostly all applications are Webdynpro applications. In Webdynpro, is there any way to implement client side validation, similar to Javascript, where the execution takes place at client side ie web browser?
Also the MessageManager interface is used to display messages, but as far as I think the execution takes place at server side, not client side.
I have read a post in which Armin Reichert has denied the support of Javascript by Webdynpro.
Regards,
Piyush.
PS: Experts I am very specific to Webdynpro and would like to know if its possible or not through a standard way, not a work around.

Solution:
In WDJ applications, you cannot insert JavaScripts.

That is not entirely true; as of 7.2/ CE, you could use the IWDWebWidget to insert custom HTML and/or JavaScript
