SRM in Local Mode

Hello,

Has anybody deployed SRM in local mode with a non-SAP accounting system backend?

If so, would you be willing to provide some lessons learned on this deployment model?

Thank you for your reply and the useful links.

I am specifically interested in learning how the accounting is handled (i.e., cost centers and G/L accounts) when a customer implements SRM in local mode but communicates with a non-SAP accounting system.

Are there a series of custom function modules that have to be written to obtain the accounting info from the backend?
