how to create value mapping?

Hi ,

Here is An Explanation About Value Mapping.....

The FixValues functionprovides a simple generic value mapping or key mapping. Each field mapping uses its own table of key value pairs.

Ex: Sender system is maintaining value like A, B, C, D and so on, whereas the Receiver system needs that in the form of text or something like Alfa, Beta and so on…

In the Fix Value table we will be maintaining as

A = Alfa

B = Beta ect.. ect..

Whenever the source system sends the value of A, in side XI it will search for the corresponding value specified in th Fix value table and get transformed.

The Value mapping function provides a more specific value transformation to link source and target elements. The Value mapping context stores information on the origin of the data.

Value mapping is used to map different representations of an object to each other.

plz go thru the following:
