limiting no. of line items in sales order

hi all SD gurus,

I have this requirement to have maximum 5 line items in the sales order. How can i achieve this?

Hi,

we cannot restrict number of line items at the sales order level .

However you can use userexit SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE in program MV45AFZZ in sales order creation creation program and ask your ABAPer to write the desired code
