Dear sir/madam
This is ravi kumar chandragiri. I have a small doubt about adapters used in XI for webservices. We use somany adapters like HTTP and Soap and some other adapters.So pls tell me that at what situation which type of adapter is used specifically.What are the differences of all adapters.

Similarly , if you want to communicate with any SAP system and you have an option between sending IDOC,RFC and Proxies and if you are in WAS >=6.20 , you can go for the proxy option because you would communicate with the proxy runtime directly and avoid going thru the adapter framework

if we have a WSDL then we go for SOAP adapter but we dont have WSDL then we prefer HTTP.
in terms of performance HTTP is better than SOAP coz it runs directly in Integration engine and bypasses the adapter engine.
