Hi gurus,
I have installed the content server in UNIX and it was configured it to my R3. Now i have installed cache server in WINDOWS box. For installing cache server i have installed IIS. Installation went successfully. Now when i am trying to access the cache server by opening the link
http://IPADDRESS:1095/Cache/CSProxyCache.dll?serverInfo
As per the SAP Document if we open the above link it has to show the server information.
But it is not showing the server information(Page Can't be displayed).
But i am able to connect to the cache server using DMDMG(Database Manager) Gui tool.
Can any one please guide me what could be the problem?
Hi,
1) please check the website for cache server is running in IIS and check the properties of the cache server website.
2) Upgrade the cache server with new DLL's
3) Maintain the relation in your R/3 system, so that cache server identifies the content server.

Hi,
1) There is no issue on IIS server. The standard webserver (port 80) can be been seen properly. There is also no issue on reading and browsing folder of Cache Server (I use port 4000 for Cache Server) as I allow anynomous IIS user to read and browsing the folder.
2) I have updated the latest patches (level 😎 according to Note 514500 for following files:
ContentServer.dll
ContentStorage.dll
FileSystemStorage.dll
CSProxyCache.dll
CSUtil.dll
sapsecu.dll
I tried following URL
http://host:port/Cache/CSProxyCache.dll?serverInfo
still it did not work.
However, eventhough it is cache server, I tried to call this URL
http://host:port/Cache/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo
It displayed following:
serverType="SAP HTTP Content Server";serverVendorId="Copyright SAP AG,
All rights reserved 1998,
2001";serverVersion="6400";serverPatch="8";serverBuild="200";pVersion="0046";serverStatus="running";serverStatusDescription="";serverDate="2007-08-16";serverTime="07:33:45";startUpDate="2007-08-
16";startUpTime="07:33:45";lastAccessDate="2007-08-
16";lastAccessTime="07:33:45";
I am not sure if there is an issue on CSProxyCache.dll.
3) This cache server is the new installation. I have not configured yet
in SAP via CSMSCA transaction nor CSADMIN.
Just right after installation, according to SAP guide, we can test
whether we can cache server via http://host:port/Cache/CSProxyCache.dll?serverInfo.
CSProxyCache.dll has been configured in WebServiceExtension in IIS of
Windows 2003 server
Name: CSProxyCache.dll
Files: <INSTDIR2>\CSProxyCache.dll
Status: Allowed

Hi,
I also have similar problem in Cache Server 6.40 with MaxDB 7.6 on Windows 2003 server,
Similar, I also have installed the content server 6.40 with MaxDB 7.6 in UNIX and it was configured it to my R3 successfully.
For example, I can access following link:
http://host:port/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo
Now I have installed cache server 6.40 with MaxDB 7.6 in Windows 2003
server box. I use IIS 6.0.
Installation cache server went successfully. Now when I am trying to
access the cache server by opening the link
http://host:port/Cache/CSProxyCache.dll?serverInfo
I have followed Note 658442 and 371220 to check and assign the correct
authorization. However, the problem is still persist.
Anybody has solution?

Ade
