Dear friends,

Please help.

Below is the error when i was trying to create order

Diagnosis

The excise tax indicator is not maintained for the specific combination. The indicator is needed to determine the excise duty rate.

Procedure

Cancel the document.

Maintain the combination with the final indicator in the table.</b>

Dear Gyana

Go to J1ID, choose "Material and Chapter ID combination".

Here selec the material for which you are facing the problem and maintain "1" is indicated on the right side (last but one).

Do we need to maintain exc indicator for every material in J1ID? cos as per my knowledg, in J1ID all the values flow from masters, so can you pls let me know if any excise indicator can be maintained at material master level.

In the material is having excise implication, then you need to maintain the same in J11D.

Dear Antima

Go to SM30 give the table J_1IEXESTA and select display. Here check how many entries are maintained. It should be 9. If less than that some entries are missing.

When I am checking it is not showing any entry. Can you please tell which all 9 enteries should be there & if any particular data needs to be maintained for the same.

As I said earlier, go to SM30, give the table J_1IEXESTA and select "Maintain". Now it will take you to a screen, wherein, you have to maintain as under:-

For information, 1 is nothing but 100% tax, 2 is 50% and 3 is nil duty.
