Hi Guys,
I have 2 problems :-).
1: I have configured alerts and everytime I clear my alert inbox using the complete button, more of the same alerts appear. I have only sent 5 or so failed error messages to test, but so far I must of had at least 20 Alerts in the inbox in the last 15 minutes.... does anyone have ay idea why? They dont seem to go above 5 alerts in the inbox, but as soon as I delete them another 5 appear???
2: I can't seem to get the long and short texts to be filled with the container elements.... does any onehave any thoughts on this?
the message I want is this:
error: A &SXMS_ERROR_CAT& occurred in &SXMS_MSG_GUID& with the following description: &SXMS_ERROR_CODE&
Hey

There can be two reasons for this, first of all the "Suppress mulitple alerts" check box in Alert configurations in RWB has not been checked, check this box and trigger the alerts(its possible that you wont get alerts correctly,in that case uncheck the box again).
second problem can be tracked in tcode SLG1,in this, see how many alerts are getting triggered and are they all being triggered for your interface or some other interface,i think you have some faulty sender communication channel which is triggering the alerts in addition to alerts triggered by you.
check communication channel and deactivate all the faulty communication channels.
Thanx
Ahmad

OK i is solved :-)...
The problem was that I had a few communication channnels in error hence the millions of messages. That also was the reason for te other problem. I had in my error text a message ID which wasn't generating. This obviously wouldn't be generateda there was no message, it was just generally the comm channels were in error and not due to message prcessing.
Thanks guys... will award points
I think you need to check if have set up to process your xi error messages in xi to reprocess after certain duration. ..hence it is generating alerts in alert inbox.
Just cancelled all error messages using SXMB_MONI..n check if it is still generating alerts..

Hi Alex !!
1: Are you sure this alerts are generated by you? are there other recipients to those messages? you can check some alerts attributes from tcode SLG1, category ALERT to see its origin.

Matias.
