I also have another requirement where a current bespoke search help has been implement on the portal using jsp. Currently this is called from with the portal also using a jsp file.
My question is, can I call this .jsp page, pass values to it and then accept the results in any way apart from URL parameters?

The search help works with both WDJ and .jsp and is designed to be fully generic. It has npot been without it problems from what I understand but unfortunately it is fully integrated within our portal. For WDA to have much chance of success here, we need to integrate with it. So far, only brick wallls!
Ideally I'd like to use the standard SAP WDA ones but have some opposition to this as the other has been in place for several years now.
