Hi all,

what makes the difference between XD01 and VD01 while creating customer master.?

hi,

in the XD01 we can maintain all data like general data, company code data,sales area data

in the VD01 we can maintain all data like general data,sales area data. we do not maintain the company code data

Purposely we maintain some informations under company code data ie. Reconciliation account as 140000- trade receivables. b'coz every transactions in the business should get posted to GL accounts for accounting.

Note: Company code is the independent accounting unit and it represents the individual company. it has set of profit & Loss acccount statements and a Balance sheet. It is integrated with every functional softwares.

Hi,

XD01 is the Central Customer Master where as u can see all the data related to customer master (General Data, Company Code Data, Sales Area Data). this XD01 is useful for both SD and FI people.

where as

VD01 is for the Customer Sales Data.which is useful for SD people. it contains General Data and Sales Area Data. VD01 is used to fill the Sales Data of a Customer.

Hi..

XD01 is used to create customer master at Centrally i.e., at company code level in which you fill financial related information..

Where as VD01 is used to create customer master record at sales organisation level where financail information of customer in not filled.

Company code data is very necessary from the point of Financial Accounting...

Hi Datt,

XD01-- We can maintain customer as centrally (Genall data, com. code data and sales area data)

VD01-- Customer as sale point of view( Genaral data and sales area data)
