Can someone please tell me the correct process for clearing out catalogues. Thus leaving me a clean system to reload new catalogues from Scrtach (step by step would be nice)

Thank in advance...

Hi

The new report (/CCM/CLEANUP_MAPPING) is contained in CCM 2.0 as of Support Package 04.

Please refer to SAP OSS Note 918043 - Report for cleaning up unnecessary mapping data records

for more details

After you call the program /CCM/CLEANUP_MAPPING using SE38 Transaction, you can start the following actions in the selection screen:

"Mapping Overview"
This option creates a list display of the current catalog mappings including the number of mapped catalog items.
"Cleanup orphaned target items"
This option creates a list display of the catalog items that were created previously by mapping in the target catalog and no longer have any relevant mapping record. These items are not to be cleaned up (except for manual deletion in the target catalog).
If the flag "Test Only (no COMMIT)" is deactivated, these items are also deleted.
For this option, you also have the option to restrict to one mapping catalog (either a vendor catalog as a source catalog or a procurement catalog as a target catalog).

"Mapping cleanup"
This option creates a list display of the data records that belong to the mapping and for which there is no longer any reference in other mapping tables. For example, the system displays as invalid those category mapping records for which there is no longer any schema mapping record.
If the flag "Test Only (no COMMIT)" is deactivated, these data records are also deleted.

"Delete mapping"
This option permits you to delete the mapping between two catalogs. For this purpose, a new selection field is displayed in which you can select a mapping (either from a vendor catalog into the master catalog or from the master catalog into a procurement catalog).

If the flag "Test Only (no COMMIT)" is deactivated, the deletion of the mapping is stored on the database. You must then manually execute - the mapping for the supplier catalog or purchasing catalog in the Catalog Authoring Tool so that the catalog items are deleted from the relevant target catalog.

Hope this will help.
