Query Related to Transport Request

I am from Functional side...& have a query..say my Development Server is on Informix/DB2/Solaris...assume any one...and my Production Server is Oracle based...whether this will have any effect on my Transport Request or not?

Hello Nitesh,

the transport request itself is DB-independent, so you only have to make sure that the R/3 releases and SP stacks are the same. Nevertheless it is possible for developers to write native SQL statements in the ABAP coding, which might lead to errors during runtime, as these statements can't be checked in ABAP, but the developers should know about that.
