"post installation step" message

Hi,

Need some help here.

When I opened the SMD via IE I am greeted with the message :

"Please refer to the Solution Manager Diagnostics setup guide to complete the post-installation steps.

If you are experiencing problems with the installation, contact your system administrator."

Can someone advice what the "post installation steps" are?

I'm really new to Solution Manager

Did you find a solution for this yet ?? I am getting exactly the same error after deploying the LMSERVICE sca file.

Hi Pranav,

You have to read the documentation AND Excute the setup steps.

You only deploy the LMService, this is still an empty box. The message will automatically disappear

Thanks for the prompt reply and suggestion. However, I was going through the doc on Service market place "Setup_Guide_Solman40SPS12.pdf" -> Diagnostic Setup guide. It mentions, after deploying the LMSERVICE sca goto http://<host>:<port>/smd . On trying this, I get the message mentioned in the thread above.

Would be great if you can suggest me about the intermediate steps needed in order to complete this setup.

Hi,

After the installation, you need to configure your system according to the IMGs. For e.g, you need to add roles/permissions, activate BC sets etc. Have you done that? IMG activities are given under transaction SPRO. If you havent done them as yet, and need detailed path, please contact.
