Copy control from Contract to Sales order

I am trying to create a sales order against the serv and Maint contract and for the rental contract created.

However i get an errror stating that the copy control is not supported.

Would you know which doc type to be copied from to

maybe you've created your Z contact type or Z sales order type, you may maintain an entry in VTAA as Rajesh suggested for the transaction type you created.

You may consider to copy a standard one for reference, for example

Source type: WK1

Target type: OR

I suppose the T.Code os VTAA & the Contract Document ype should be starting with W. I do not recall it is WK or WN (you will have to check the list) or NMS.But Sales Order Type can be selected as OR.
