Hi All,

We are using SAP Netweaver 2004s and EP7. We have installed and configured NWDI. Created a track for modifications of ESS. Then I have checked in the following SCA files

SAPESS08_0-20000512.SCA

SAPMSS08_0-20000503.SCA

SAPPCUIGP08_0-20001215.SCA

DI BUILD TOOL 7.00

SAP J2EE ENGINE 7.00

SAP JAVA TECH SERVICES 7.00

SAP PCUI GP 600

I could able to Import all the SCAs except ESS. Issue I notice is, once I start ESS import J2EE Server process restarts and CMS UI says it is Importing the pakcage.

Can you guys please guide me get through this issue. Your help is greately appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,

Vasu.

Hi Vasu,

Please review the Note 737368 - Hardware requirements of Java Development Infrastructure. And decide which one is the scenario you're running.

Also the import of the ESS can take around 6-8 hrs..

Regards and Good Luck!

Hi,

ESS is an extremely huge component and the import can run for hours.

However, you mentioned about the J2ee server restarting. Are you using the NWDI system as your dev or cons runtime system as well??? This should not be done.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Hi Vineeth,

Thanks a lot for the reply. No I have a different cons runtime system.
