Dear all,

Is it true that Customer account group will have to be assigned all partner functions that a customer can have?

I have a customer account group ZDOM (domestic) and I need to create three partner functions: ZS (Sales Employee), ZT (Transporter) and ZA(Sales Agent). Please indicate the procedure to create these partner functions and assign them to a particular customer account group.

Very Urgent

Thanks in advance..

Partner Determination

SP, SH, BP, Payer are key to document processing. Automatic partner determination happens in the sales document, delivery and billing documents, sales activities, and the customer master record.

IMGSDBasic fncsPartner fncs, define partner fncs [VOPA]

Each partner function can be assigned a partner type. This partner type specifies whether the partner is a customer, contact person, or vendor.

PARTNER DETERMINATION

Partner Determination Procedure

Partner Partner Type Partner Functions

Customers KU SP, SH, BP, PY

Vendors LI FA (VN)

Contact Persons AP CP

Sales Employee PE SE, KB, KM

SAP uses condition technique to determine relevant partner functions for the objects like Customer Master, Document Header and Item Categories.

Partner Determination Procedure to Customer Master:

Fi-Co Configuration Settings:

1. Define Account Groups:

T. Code: OBD2

Create a sold-to party, Ship-to party, Bill-to Party and payer.

ZSSP: Sold-to party performs the roles of

· Sold-to Party

· Ship-to party

· Bill-to Party

· Payer

ZSSH: Ship-to Party performs the role of Ship-to Party.

ZSBP: Bill-to Party performs the role of Bill-to Party.

ZSPY: Payer performs the role of Payer.

The roles can be changed based on the requirements of the client.

Assign the field statuses based on the requirements.

2. Define Number Ranges:

T.Code: XDN1

3. Assign Number ranges to Customer Account Group:

Here we assign numbers ranges to account groups.

SD Configuration Settings:

4. Define partner Functions:

Check for the standard partner functions like SP, SH, BP, PY. These are the major partner functions in case of partner determination in customer master, apart from that One-time customer, contact person etc. can also be partner functions.

Error Group: Incompleteness procedure for the partner functions. That reminds the user about the fields in which values have not been maintained while saving the document. Ex.: 07 – Customers.

Higher Level Partner Functions: A partner function to which you can apply subordinate partner functions. You can use higher-level partner functions to create a hierarchy. Ex.: Credit representative (KB) can have higher level partner function Credit manager (KM). So KM should be assigned to KB as Higher Level partner Function.

Unique: Indicates whether you can use this partner function only once in the customer master data or in the vendor master data.

Customer Hierarchy Type: Specify the Customer Hierarchy Type, if relevant partner is participating in Customer Hierarchy

Set up partner determination for Customer master

5. Partner Determination Procedures:

From here the actual partner determination starts, we create partner determination procedures and assign the partner functions and their characteristics. Choose the standard partner determination procedure “AG”, copy it and rename it or we can define our own partner determination procedure.

Here we went to ‘New Entries’ and created a new partner determination procedure SAG: SCIL – Sold-to Party. Highlight it and double click on the partner functions in procedure.

Here we assign partner functions to our partner determination procedure for the sold-to party. Go to ‘New Entries’ and add partner functions and also check whether they are “Non Modifiable” and “Mandatory”

N – Non Modifiable: After entry, partner can no longer be changed in the document.

M – Mandatory: Indicates whether a partner function is mandatory in a particular partner object, such as the customer master, sales document, the item category.

Similarly we do it for SWE: SCIL - Ship-to Party, SRE: SCIL – Bill-to party and SRG: SCIL – Payer.

6. Partner Determination Procedure Assignment:

Here we assign the partner determination procedure to the customer account group.

6. Account Group – Function Assignment:

Here we go to ‘New Entries’ and assign

SP, SH, BP, PY – ZSSP

SH – ZSSH

BP – ZSBP

PY – ZSPY

Then we go and create a customer in XD01, and save it. Go to XD02 and following screen will appear.

To confirm our account group, go to Extras  Administrative Data in the menu and check out the account group. Following screen will appear.

Partner Determination Procedure for Sales Document Header

A sold-to party uses condition technique to determine relevant partner functions from sales document header as well as relevant partner functions can be proposed from Customer Master.

1. Define Partner Functions:

Check whether the following partner functions are defined or not.

SP, SH, BP, PY, KB, KM and PE

2. Define partner Determination Procedure for the Sales Document Header:

We are going to create our own partner determination procedure SPAR as shown in the screen below

Highlight the partner determination procedure and double click on the partner functions in the procedure.

Then do the following assignment as shown in the screen below.

3. Assign Partner Determination procedure to the Document Type:

Save it and exit.

Then go to VA01 and create the order SOR with our sold to party 20071010. Then go to top menu and follow the following path:

GoTo  Header  Partners.

Following screen will appear

We get the partner number from respective departments and assign it here.

Hi Sulabh,

You want to have 3 PF namely ZS, ZT, ZA for the Account group ZDOM.

First of all you need to have the following things

1. Create Account Group (ZD0M)

2. Create Partner Determination Procedure : You can put any name like (ZST)

3. Create Partner Functions (ZS, ZT, ZA)

4. Assing Partner Determination Procedure to Account group

5. Assing Partner Functions to Partner Determination Procedure

6. Assing Partner Functions to Account Group

To do that, follow the path...

SPRO - > Sales & Distribution -> Basic functions -> partner dermination -> Set up partner determination -> Partner determination for customer master

There you can see all different steps in that screen (left side) to do the above 6 steps.

Follow all the above steps one by one

Now create a customer using your account group ZDOM, you can see all the three partner functions for your customer.

HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU

REWARD IF HELPFUL

Thanks,

Praveen
