for any project there are 5 phases which are calling as ASAP methodology

project preparation is the first phase planning about that project which is the starting phase

golive and support ( which call as continious improvement ) is the last phase

rewards if it helps

whether its SD, FI or any other module.. irrespective the project would start at the project preparation stage and end with Go-Live and support.

Please try to go thru the ASAP process so that you can understand it better.
