Hi all,

cud anyone answer my queries plss

1.What is ITS and what is its purpose

2.What is ICM ,its purpose,wat was used prior to ICM in its place( as this was introduced in newly)

3.DIfference b/n ITS and ICM in Usage

4.it wud greateful if u cud explain both ITS and ICM with a simple scenario plzzzz

Hello Anand,

ITS is internet transaction server which used to come with 620 kernel and prior to that . One had to instal it as seperate server so that one can access Web AS using that.

Now ITS has been integrated into Web AS and called as ICM. Some of the things like Flow logic and Web RFC have been eliminated from 640.

ICM handles both ABAP based requests and Java requests. Based on BSP or JSP requests the requests are sent to Java Web AS or ABAP WebAS. In ITS it handles only requests for ABAP Web AS.
