For gmail:

I wasn't able to do it, but I think it was because of firewall.

Hi ,

Try using pop.mail.yahoo.com

The url u are giving is used for small bussiness mail id, so it wont work here,

so here u have to use:

pop://pop.mail.yahoo.co.in

smtp://smtp.mail.yahoo.co.in

With regards

Vikas

The full address for gmail pop server is not that.

Check this: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=13287

Since it is pop over SSL, port 995, you need:

pops://pop.gmail.com/ (as 995 is default port for pops, no need to inform it).

as per defined in note 856599.

Also, make sure you enable Pop in your gmail account: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13273

Regards,

Henrique.

PS: If you are in XI 3.0, you have to follow some steps to enable SSL in receiver side: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/8d/cb71b8046e6e469bf3dd283104e65b/frameset.htm

Hey

if these options dont work,do one way around,

now i m assuming u have Mail on sender side, right?

do a mail forwarding from your yahoo or gmail account to your companies id.

once u have the mails in companies id you can do a simple sender mail scenario and wont have any problem.

same thing will work if you want to send files to yahoo or gmail,in that case you need to forward your companies id mails to yahoo or gmail.

give it a shot, worked for me.

we keep on having the problems with external mail ids coz of firewall issues

Thanx

Ahmad
