Difference between XI INX and XI DEV

Well in XI Sandbox I use sapgui xiinx 00 to access it. Also sapgui xidev 00 requires a separate login

It could be a name of the server ..acoording to the corporate network policy there ..

Sandbox is limited in resources ..Unlike production and quality.

Also how is this diffrent from dev prd and ins in sap r3 ?
