Error SAPNW2004sJavaSP9_Trial

Hi,

I installed SAPNW2004sJavaSP9_Trial succesfully

Then i opened sap management consol --> Sapsytems --> J2E(right clicl and start) in the process list only jcontrol.exe (J2EE Server) is in stopped mode. when i click on trace i got this message

Hi Phani,

It seems that your bootstrap processes have some troubles to startup. Would you please check the content inside file:

C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC01\work\jvm_bootstrap.out

C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC01\work\std_bootstrap.out

C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC01\work\dev_bootstrap

for any hints of the error.

- no IP address to bind to (e.g. all network interfaces down)

Hi Phani,

You will get the error (*** ERROR => invalid return code of process [bootstrap] (exitcode = 66) [jstartxx.c 1642]) when the services are not started.

Please go to start -> run -> services.msc and start this service ('SAPOsCol') manually followed by the start of the server and the J2EE engine should start now.

Hi,

1.On which OS r u trying?

2.What is the database used?

Jcontrol can stop due to 3 factors,

1.Inappropriate Kernel file.check whether u have applied appropriate Unicode kernel.

2.Full memory usage.Check whenther installation drive has suffuecient space.

JVM settings can be changes in configtool.

go to c:\usr\sap\SID\JCxx\j2ee\configtool--->configtool.bat

Check Max heap size for server node and dispatcher node there.

May be u can increase bootstrap size a bit,since ur error message shows problem with bootstrap start.

Other JYM settings can be done according to the SAP note 723909.

3.database log files may be full.Delete unnecessary old logs.

You ca also go to /usr/sap/SID/JCxx/j2ee/cluster/instance.properties.

Check whether all the instance details are correct.Compare with other systems,which are working.

Check also the environmental variables settings

After doing any of these changes,restart the instance.

It may work.
