Hi,
i would appreciate if someone can explain me the reason why we need to have a minimum 2 dialog work process configured?
Answers would be rewarded.
Swaroop.
Hai swaroop mazumdar,
First you should know what is dialog work process, it is responsible to complete all your screen process/request, to explain clearly - what all you do on your screen after loging into SAP everything will be processed by the Dialog Work Process and the process finishes within 2000 seconds are called as screen process, Example: The windows that opens for your Transaction code. I thing you got it.
Since it is responsible for all the screen process, we cannot login into SAP without the help of screen, so if you have option to make Dialog Work Process to Zero, then noone can continue any screen process who are already inside the SAP screen and noone could login into SAP. So only the SAP had already assigned minimum no of Dialog Work Process to 2.

It is system designed...you got to respect the rules

Hi,
the simple reason is, that your system will not start or work if you will configure less then one.
If you look at https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/39412 you normally should set the number of DAI wps to more than two:
At least the number of all configured non-dialog work processes on this instance

Sascha
