file adapter

Hi All,

In file adapter if i have to pick all the txt files i will give *.txt. and if i have to pick the files which are starting with perticuler alphabet then what is the procedure for that can any one please explain .

Naveen,

you can give as abc*.txt . If all the file name starts with abc.......

If you don't know the extension then , give it as abc.

Hey,

Well the answer is damn simple. In the File adpter for paramter File Name specify J*.TXT.

But for example if you have to process all the files that ends with the extension .TXT but u dun want to process file that starts with Alphabet (A) then ?

In the file adapter -> adavance selection for source file indicator -> specify exclusion mask for file name -> A*.
