Abap proxy activation for BI

HI

Is it required to configure the abap proxy activation steps as described in a blog in order to push data to BI through Proxies?

or is there an option to ignore abap proxy activation like using SPROXSET or something??

You have to configure and activate them even in BI or BW or SRM or R3 the process still remains the same.
