change DDIC and SAP* password back to the master pasword

Hi!

During the installatio I have changed the default password to the master password and again to the default password, in order ot avoid the error "RFC connection..."

Now the sapinst would like to change the default password to the master password and failed, because in is not possible to create the same password again.

How to proceed?

Can I create another user and copy it to DDIC an SAP*?

Hi Axel,

how did you change the password? With SU01?

If you set the password with the SU01 for another user it should not be stored in the history.

You could also try setting the parameter login/password_history_size to 1.
