Hi Experts,
I have a query related to HR System. We are implementing Access Enforcer 5.2 version. Can we use Access Enforcer for a HR System.
My requirements are : We create a User in CUA System and assign roles to users. Then we go To child system and we run a program which gets the data from HR System and position for users is indirectly assigned.
Is there any way in Access Enforcer for assigning positions indirectly?
Please advise.
And aslo We are using Acces Enforcer 5.2 and Complaince Calibrator and we are about o go for upgrade our R/3 $.6 systems to ERP 2005. DO we need to change the configuration of AE and CC again after upgrade. Any changes will be there if so please advise what effects will impact.
Thanks for the help.
Vijay
thank you

To clarify, you can assign roles to positions through Access Enforcer, but you cannot assign users to positions, as that is an HR function.
Also, there should be no impact on Access Enforcer and Compliance Calibrator from upgrading from 4.6 to ECC 6.0 for a technical upgrade. You just have to and the connectors for the new ECC systems.
If you are adding functionality with ECC 6.0, then you may have to modify your rule set in CC.

Hi Greg,
How would you autoprovision the roles to be assigned to the position instead of the userid in Access Enforcer? How would that rule be set up in HR trigger for Access Enforcer? And can you have both of the options available for autoprovisioning whether the request based on certain attribute should be assigned to the position and/or the user since there are some users that are not listed in the HR as position including request for testids, etc.
Will greatly appreciate your feedback.
Best Regards,
Jen
Dear Vijay,
You cannot assign Positions to Users in Access Enforcer. You can assign roles to users in AE.
