Hi to all,
Can any one tell me the difference between the planning book and planning area.
Hello Vamsi,
In Planning area we have all the possible key figures say k1,k2 and k3.
While designing the Planning Book you can chose the key Figures you need say k1 and k2. So now there is a difference in the number of Key figures on Planning Area and Planning Book.

Hi vamsi....basically Planning area is like a super set and Planning book is a subset . The end users who work on the system work only on the planning book and they are not aware of the planning area, which is like an underlying layer.
You can create a planning book with only the desired characteristics and keyfigure. And based on a single planning area you can create as many planning books as needed.
