Printing problem in Smartforms

Hi experts,

My smartforms works well and the print preview is coming correctly.

But while giving the print it throws an error message.

message is : Output could not be issued.

Pls. what is the problem.

Check the size of windows on your form, there is a window with bigger in size thena the layout so its overlapping.

Do you use templates? This element often causes this problem.

From my experience this error message can refer to almost anything, so the quickest way to find the cause is to export the form in xml onto local drive, and start to delete element by element...start from primary ones (windows..tables, templates...texts..)...activate the form after each deletation and do this until you are able to print form (this means that the problem is localized in that element). Then upload the previously saved xml and start to delete the sub-elements of the element you have identified as problem cause...do this until you find exact element that is causing the error. Once you narrow the problem to single element I am sure it will not be a problem to recognize the mistake you made...if nothing else you will be able to give us more detail description of the problem.

This error is faced generlly when output type has not been assigned to the document type.In sales order Follow the path

Goto-Extras-Output-Header-Edit.

Here mention the output type and communication medium and save the document.

Now try to issue the output.

I assume that you have maintain the output determination procedure in SPRO.

this requires configuration.

Configure the copied program name for your output type & this entry must be there in table TNAPR. Only then you will be able to issue the output..

when you are running the VF03 for seeing the print preview you have to do

Billing documents-->issue output to --> printer / screen

Now this is possible when the output type is already allotted for that .

For this check the navigation

Goto VF02 -> enter the invoice number , hit enter, from the Second screen

Goto>Header>output--> will land you to a table control screen.

Now here u need to give the output type and enter give the printer name in logical destination, and save.

Now do the Billing documents>issue output to->screen--> output type as 'ZXXX'

.and execute .

I am using <b>vl02n</b>. All the things which you said is done. The print preview is coming correctly. But while giving the printing output it give the error.
