ERROR IN TRANSPORT REQUEST

Former Member

Dear All,

We are having 3 clients Golden(500), Unit testing(100) and Quality(200) for one of my ongoing project.

All the configurations are done in Golden Client and for doing unit testing we are transporting the transport request by transaction SCC1.

Till now it was O.K, but from last 2 days Iam getting errors while transporting the requests, error message is "Cannot open log:
SAPDEV\sapmnt\trans\log\CC000800.D11

Message no. TA074".

Please suggest.

Regards,

Chandrashekar

Dear Chandru,

Go to this folder E:\usr\sap\trans\sapnames the user by which you are trying to start transport should be listed if not then use the userslisted in that folder.

That will resolve your problem.

The users who can perform transport requests are listed in E:\usr\sap\trans\sapnames folder. When ever one starts the transport make sure whether that user with which you are starting the transport is authorized to do so.

Thanks & Regards

Vivek.

Hello Chandra,

CC* files denote the Client copy logs. They also include logs for SCC1 transports.

Do one thing. Through AL11 go to the path <sap drive>\usr\sap\trans\log and then look for the CC000800.D11. If you dont see it doesnot exist. If it does then try opening it. If it doesnot open then we have problems with the OS level permissions. If it does open then look for the transport request which was imported through it and check its logs. There must be something with the transport that is causing the error. May be the file is still open and locked by some other processes.

Hello Arjun,

Just one thing. The OS is this case is Windows. 775 wont work here :-).

Hello Chandra,

Also check the client imports records through SCC3. That too would give you an idea.

Hi Chandra,

Check your /usr/sap/trans free space. It should have atleast 775 permission to access files. If trans directory has permission check for the file too.

Hello,

First try to check the file presence in the trans folder.

If there, try to open it.

Above activity do it from OS level.

Check the space also.

Check the file permissions also.

And configure STMS.

Provide transport log fully.

Note: Points always encourage me to reply !!

Hello Patil,

Is your Transport Directory is local transport directory or Global Transport directory? If its global directory check for the connectivity.

Dear Chandrashekar ,

Please check if you can access
SAPDEV\sapmnt\trans\log\CC000800.D11file .

Cause :

1 ) File may not present

2 ) File may perent but sidadm does not have permission to access file
SAPDEV\sapmnt\trans\log\CC000800.D11
